Join us for an unforgettable journey to the breathtaking Tasman Peninsula, renowned for Australia’s highest sea cliffs and spectacular coastal landscapes. We will depart Hobart at 8:45 AM and begin our adventure by heading to the stunning Tasman National Park Lookout. Here, you’ll enjoy a panoramic vista of the rugged coastline and lush surroundings, providing a moment to soak in the beauty of the area while understanding its historical significance as a prime location for a convict settlement.

Our journey continues to the iconic Port Arthur Historic Site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that boasts over 30 historic buildings, ruins, and beautifully restored homes set within 40 hectares of landscaped grounds. You’ll have approximately 4 hours to explore this evocative site at your leisure. Wander through the main penitentiary, visit the solitary confinement cells, and uncover the gripping stories of life as a convict in Van Diemen’s Land. The rich history of Port Arthur is complemented by its stunning surroundings, making it a poignant reminder of Australia’s past.

As part of your visit, you’ll also enjoy a complimentary Harbour Cruise around the Isle of the Dead. This tranquil cruise offers a unique perspective on the site and its historical significance, enhancing your experience. We return directly to Hobart and drop you off the Cruise Terminal/Hobart Wharf area as you please. Our return time is scheduled for 4.00 – 5.00pm.The return time is flexible to better suit an earlier departing Cruise Ship, please enquire with our reservations team.

Pick Up Details
We will pick you up from the Hobart Travel and Information Centre, 20 Davey Street, Hobart. The information centre is the on the corner of Elizabeth and Davey Streets. It is a very short walk from the Cruise Terminal. Please try to arrive around 8.40am ready to meet Tours Tasmania and depart at 8.45 am.
